DIGITAL ORTOPANTOMOGRAPH Examination, Diagnostics & Treatment Planning:

We offer our patients full comprehensive dental diagnostics and treatment. For proper diagnostics and treatment planning the use of x-rays are essential as an extension of a clinical examination.

We have installed a modern digital ortopantomphraph, so within just seconds we are able to see and demonstrate for you absolutely everyting of interest - not just related to the teeth and gums, but the entire upper and lower jaw, including the sinus'es and the temporomandibular joint. Because the system is digital, we do not have to wait for devellopment and drying, and more important the dose of radfiation is 10 times lower than with an analog system. We strongly recommend new patients to have an ortopan x-ray taken.

Family Dentistry and Dentistry in General:

We often see that people, who has always looked after their teeth and had examinations and cleanings at fixed inervals, loose the continuity when they move abroad. In the beginning many still go back to the dentist they used to see in their country of oreign, but after a while they drop out. and then they don't find a new dentist until something urges them to.

We will take over where your dentist back home left, so you don't loose the benefit of many years of prevention, and we will be your dental "base" here in Spain. Between ourselves and the team of highly skilled external specialists we work in close connection with, we will be able to provide you with any treatment that modern dentistry has to offer.

Fillings:

Ordinary tooth-fillings, be it replacement of old fillings or treatment of new carvities, still is an important part of our daily routine. We use only bonded fillings and onlly tooth coloured composite. We do not use amalgam (black fillings) at all in this clinic.

Crowns, Inlays, Onlays, Veneers and Bridge

All of the above treatment types have several things in common:

* They are carried out for restorartive- or cosmetic reason
* They are manufactured by a dental technician outside the mouth after an impression has been made by the dentist, and they are fitted in the mouth by the dentist.
* At least 2 sessions are necessary.

We provide metal-ceramic crowns and bridges, all porcelain crowns and venners and inlays/onlays and metal-free crowns and smaller bridges in Zirconiumdioxide manufactured with the latest CAD/CAM technology. We work only with dental laboratories and dental technicians of the highest standard. Some are locally based and some are further away.

Dental Implants:

Dental implants are titanium screws that grown into the bone, and replaces one or more lost teeth, so that a restoration either fixed or removable can be attached to the implants. There is a surgical treatment when the implant is inserted, and a prosthetic part when the restoration is fitted. Dr. Rosenvold has an extensive knowledge and experience in Implant Dentistry from working with implants for over 20 years. Dental Implants are one of the safest and most predictable treatments in dentistry today.

Endodontics (Root-canal treatment):

Treating the "nerve" in a tooth in case of pain or infection can be a very complicated job. All general dentists are trained to do the job, but it is a fact that the prognosis of the treatment is improved if the job is done by a dentist a certain specializing in the job. Dr. Kraaijeveld is well trained and experienced in endodontic treatment.

Periodontal treatment (Gum disease):

Gum disease is still very common in the normal adult population. It is ranges from gingivitis with just inflamed and ding gums, to sereve breakdown of the ligament and bone anchoring the teeth. The main treatment is still reduction of the pathogenic micro organisms by removal of the tartar and toxins on the root surface and instruction in adequate hygienic daily routines for the patients. In more advanced cases is it necessary to work together with a specialist in periodontology for the best long-terem results.

Cosmetic Dentistry:

If patients want to have treatment mainly for cosmetic reasons, it usually involves a mix of the ingredients and the skills of several specialists in order to achieve the desired result

Childrens dentistry:

It is important that children already from 3 years of age get into the good habit of seeing a dentist at least once a year. Decay in milkteeth can evolve rapidly and new molars with deep fissures can be sealed as a preventive measurement against later decay.

Orthodontics (Correction of misaligned teeth with braces):

Many children need braces in order for the bite to devellop in harmony and even adults can also have misaligned teeth corrrected. Dr. Kraaijeveld is a specialist in this field of dentistry with many years of experience.

Tooth whitening:

Tooth whitening has become a popular way to enhance the smile. Dr. Kraaijeveld offer in-chair bleaching in just one hour, and besides we offer the well known treatment with home-bleaching gel applied in a custom-made thin plastic mouthguard.

TMJ Disorder and tooth grinding:

Grinding and clenching the teeth is a very common thing. Some patients get headache and muscle pain, others simply grind their teeth away. We have solutions for both groups.
